"Bill" Sugg and his wife recently decided to sell their picturesque and stately home in Gallatin, Tennessee and they have consigned the majority of their collection to Northgate Gallery to be sold on May 19, 2012. In addition, we will sell the contents of a prominent Atlanta, Georgia home, a consignment from a Signal Mountain, Tennessee estate and an outstanding collection from an estate in Far Hills, New Jersey.
This auction will include 18th and 19th century furniture, fine oil paintings, oriental rugs including a 13'3" x 16'4" Serapi rug, bronze and stone statuary, a collection of antique cut glass, an 86 piece set of Waterford crystal stemware, a 143 piece set of Lenox china in the Coquette pattern, a 60 piece set of china by "Christian Dior", a set of 12 Royal Worcester dinner plates, Sevres, Royal Vienna and Chinese porcelain, sterling silver, a Mason & Hammon baby grand piano, fine reproductions by Baker, Kittinger, Karges, Kindel, Hancock and Moore, a superb pair of antique Chippendale armchairs by "Waring and Gillow" of Liverpool, England, fine leather bound books, antique chandeliers, a superb pair of Louis XV bronze wall sconce, a fine set of ten antique Chippendale dining chairs, an exquisite collection of jewelry, including a 4.09 ct. radiant cut yellow diamond ring and 18 kt. yellow gold man's and ladies Rolex watches, and a rare pair of 18th century French tapestries!
